October's Jem's Blog Hop 'Trick or Treat'

You have hopefully found me by Hopping on from Amanda.

This months blog hop was to focus on 'Trick or Treat' which could be Halloween, a trick (hidden fold) or a treat. We have pleaty of treats in the tearoom although reading Nathans shoppping list you may think otherwise.

For my hop challenge I therefore chose to combine a 'Spooky' theme with a fancy fold and cut design.

This is a tag slider card using peekaboo peach (quite appropriate I thought), basic black and whisper white and stamps taken from sweet home set.

Pull the top to reveal a hidden message or surprise.

The hidden spider was created by using the cookie cutter punch and the daisy punch plus a bit of fussy cutting. I think I need a bit of work with the leg placement, this is a fun card to make.

Here's a slightly different version, going to try my hand at making some surprise birthday cards with this.

Thanks for hopping by now hop along to Julie below.

Jems September blog hop Autumn colours

Hello everyone,
Its been a while since Nathan's tearoom has created a blog but we felt it appropriate to join this months. But at first it wasn't easy Autumn colours is the theme so we went through our current stash and panic we did....Autumn colours?? but suddenly it dawned upon me Autumn is a fabulous month of several different colours therefore you will see below our take of Autumn colours.

We created our little hut using sweet home stamps on crumb cake prestamped with hardwood and added the sunflower bucket and pumpkins from bike ride. These were coloured in using the watercolour pencils...we love these. the sentiment was pinched from jar of love.
Next time I will add a bird as our little hut ressembles our new cuckcoo clock.

Our second creation is to demonstrate that you can buy stamps without the framelits but it requires abit of fussy cutting. But buying the two together you save 10% (I never ordered the set but I am next order as I love the effect). Now Nathan wanted me to create a tag-long bike to demonstrate the bike we hired last week in Cornwall...but I am not that clever. The bike was though it enabled Nathan who is registered blind to join in our cycling. Keeping Autumn colours in mind the bike is delivering Pumpkin Pie pumpkins.

Finally I got to play with the new colours and some girlie stamps, this card was easy and so much fund. Now during the last couple of months crafting has gone on hold as Nathan has been training for the GB Special Olympics National Games in Sheffield and amongst many awards he also achieved a gold medal in 200m running, gold is an autumn colour and I am sure you will agree his medal compliments my card.

Thank you so much for stopping by but please carry on and hop to the next talented Jem.

Bye for now,

Tracy and Nathan

Something for men

Dear All,
I am ashamed to say that this is my first blog for 2017 been a busy start to the year having returned to University to complete my Masters oops.

I thought I would join this months Jems Blog Hop especially as it is for men and seeing as in my household there are my husband and 3 boys.....even the parrot and the dog are boys!!!!

Nathan's craft and tearoom have been asked to commission 50 cards for the Dads on the local neonatal unit so have been looking closely at inspiration for dad themes...not going to post them on here as yet as do not want to spoil it but have some potential ideas.

These cards I have created have utilised the wonderful DSP we have from Stampin up  for this card I have used  is from my pack of paper that I received free during SAB and have created an origami folded shirt fairly simple but effective I hope you agree. Thinking of adding a tie but can open the shirt to add your own message.

My second card involves Stampin up stamp sets.
Stampin up involves stampin gorgeous stamps and inks but iIdon't feel very confident or adventurous although I am rather proud of this double stamp effect I have used to create a shed......I have used home sweet home and hardwood stamps stamping directly on to card first using crumb cake and topped with early espresso stamped from an inked up hardwood stamp. The background card is pool party.

I even managed to add a door.... this will be perfected for my dads fathers day card.

I hope you enjoy my post but please click on the links below I have Samantha's either away both very talented. Enjoy this blog hop.

A Review of 2016

Review of 2016
Well its been a busy year for me but limited time to craft so here's hoping I can have a more creative 2017. This months blog was to review the best of 2016 well my favourite this year have to be the little foxy friends bundle here is  a card we completed at our training using this collection.....its super cute.

But for me this year is all about the Christmas collection, loving the DSP and the Punch's and of course the stamp sets. But Stampin up is not just about the stamps, ink, paper etc its about the tools as well. I love the versatility of the envelop punch board therefore using this some wonderful DSP and the cute cookie stamp set have created some mini crackers ready for our Christmas table. These also include a mini bauble tag from the cracker punch board scraps

This is our last blog hop of the year but here is Nathan in the mist of creating 50 cards for some special parents at Christmas wearing his Christmas jumper.

.

Thank you for looking enjoy the fellow Jems blogs below.

Thanks,

Tracy
